The Maternal Infant Health Brochure aimed to support expectant and new mothers with essential information. As the lead graphic designer, I developed a comprehensive and visually appealing brochure to educate and empower women during their maternal journey.
Project Scope:
Objective: Create an informative brochure to support maternal and infant health through community partnerships and resources in impoverished communities, breaking the cycle of underserved postnatal care.
Target Audience: Expectant and new mothers, health care professionals, and the general public.
Design Approach:
Visual Identity: Developed a warm and welcoming visual identity using soothing colors, clear typography, and relatable imagery. The design aimed to create a sense of comfort and trust.
Content Development: Collaborated with health care professionals and community resource members to ensure the brochure included accurate and helpful information on prenatal care, childbirth, and postnatal care.
User-Friendly Layout: Designed an easy-to-navigate layout that focused on key information and community resources, including sections on nutrition, breastfeeding, and infant care.
Impact:
Increased Awareness: The brochure successfully increased awareness about maternal and infant health, providing valuable resources to mothers.
Positive Feedback: Received praise from health care professionals, community resource workers, and mothers for the clarity, usefulness, and sensitivity of the information.
Enhanced Support: The brochure contributed to better-informed mothers, leading to improved health outcomes for both mothers and infants, helping to break the generational cycle of poor maternal and infant health.
This project demonstrated the importance of thoughtful design, clear communication, and community collaboration in supporting maternal and infant health.
